Donald Malloy was born in Cheraw, South Carolina to the late James Robert and Loreain Malloy. He was born with an intrinsic melodic distinctive and a compelling music heritage. His mother, a singer, immediately recognized her fifth child, Donald, was blessed with keen vocal talents. Accordingly, when he was six, his mother put him up front of the Pleasant Grove AME Zion church during the Sunday morning service. Notwithstanding, she told him as only a mother could -- "Boy, you'd better sing!" Sing, was what Donald did that Sunday morning! Unexpectedly to him, it was the dawning of his gospel music career!

Malloy is a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Newark, New Jersey where he serves as the Minister of Music under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Milton Biggham. As a Minister of Music, coupled with his keen ear for music direction and arrangement he effectively delivers the total connectivity for the appreciation of gospel music. As a result, he creates for his audience a "taste and see response."

His educational pursuits exemplifies his pursuit of excellence. He earned a degree in Business Management from the Lincoln Business School.

He is married to the very lovely June. They are the blessed parents of two dynamic children Jessica and Christopher.
