"The Finest Ingredients Are Right In The Mix!" I was literally born and raised in our family recording studio. I had a drum machine, a sampler and a synthesizer in my playpen! Beats and melodies were always bubbling in my brain. At 3 years old, I was trained in classical music and developed speed skills on the keyboard. I created my first full-length blend of two entire records at age 4. Growing up and being influenced by countless producers, editors, DJ's and recording artists who came to the studio, I used to wonder where some of the club DJ's would get their records because the tracks they produced were never broadcast on the radio. The creations consisted of remixed versions of the original track or sometimes a "Bits & Pieces" edited production using many different songs that were spliced, blended and mixed together. I found out at a very early age that these masterpieces were called "White Label" records and they were created by DJ's and producers - just for the love of music and to showcase their skills. I also found out the trouble these people caused for the mainstream record companies. At 7 years old, I started making my own trouble, editing reel-to-reel tape on a splicing block, creating my own White Label productions, developing my creativity, gaining invaluable experience and doing something that I love while making a lot of money and making a lot of people happy at the same time. After sending edited demos to a few local clubs, I landed my first DJ show at 12 years old at a club in Bay Ridge called "B.R. Stars". At 17 years old and in my first week of college, (I skipped 2 grades) I never expected to be approached by recording and production companies while at *B91* - 90.9 WKRB in New York, only after my second show on the Friday and Saturday Night Mix Weekends. My reel-to-reel editing skills and creativity raised an eyebrow in the mainstream production arena, as well as the underground club scene in NYC, but most importantly, some life changing events with pirate radio (ARRGH) in England and Germany, who didn't play by the mainstream rules and welcomed my style of production work. I was given the freedom to express myself through editing, learned about the music industry, met a lot of worldwide contacts and I still make a living doing what I love, producing music for clients all over the world and performing live shows in NYC and The United Kingdom.
