This is an excerpt from the highly recommended DVD "Guys and Dolls: Off the Record." Off the Record is not a full-length performance of the classic musical Guys and Dolls, but rather a 55-minute documentary about the making of the studio recording by the cast of the smash 1992 revival.

Nathan Lane is a two-time Tony and Emmy award-winning American actor of stage and screen. He was nominated for a Tony for this role and won a Drama Desk Award for it (Outstanding Actor in a Musical.) He is best known for his roles as Albert in The Birdcage, Max Bialystock in the musical The Producers, Ernie Smuntz in MouseHunt, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and his voice work in The Lion King and Stuart Little. In 2008, he was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame.

Faith Prince is known primarily for her work on Broadway. Prince won the Tony Award and Drama Desk Award as Best Actress in a Musical for this role; she has received three other Tony nominations.
