August Burns Red- Spirit Breaker (Lyrics and Meaning) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 20, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
This song is about the monotony of daily life. In whatever way you spend your life, you will, most likely, experience extreme complacency and boredom with your daily routine. It is easy to fall into having a negative attitude and letting the monotony take you over. ABR's message in this song is to say that you can break that attitude. Life will be hard, and you will have to do things you don't want to do. But you can break out of seeing it in a negative way, and just be happy to be alive.

There could be multiple things ABR is referring to in this song when they talk about their struggles with this problem. I think they could be referencing the exceeding amounts of exhaustion they face when going on tour. It's constant traveling, performing, and not much other than that for long periods of time. However, they have to find the motivation to carry on and continue at their best ability. That is not the one and only thing they could be referencing, but it makes sense.

"Every day I think about the place I'd rather be than here." Don't take things in your life for granted. Even if you're stuck in the monotonous daily routine, just enjoy everything you possibly can. Don't throw a single moment from your life away.

Enjoy the video! God Bless!
