The one thing I've never been comfortable with is the false sense of importance that people thrust on DJs. We just play other people's tunes to like minded people. It's not rocket science and it never will be. Sadly, there are too many DJs who believe their own hype and let their ego take over and loose touch with what the whole DJ ethos is. DJ'ing's about trying to sell your music taste to others. You've been booked, so you've got your foot in the door. Now it's time to make that sale.
