The idea behind our interpretation of the Operatic Passione Amorosa by G. Bottesini, is to bring a more “chamber like” communication among the voices.

Rather than a defiance interpretation among the characters, we chose a more subtle dialogue throughout the piece.

We believe that even a more flashy Bottesini piece, such as this one, should be performed with a chamber like care in mind: coherence in articulation, dynamics and timber among the three characters; and at the same time allowing everyone’s personalities to flourish in the solo parts, as well as in the more divertimento passages.

Our, I and Eder, long history together as bass players and friends was the motive behind my choice for this piece in this recital.

I was very proud and happy to play this special concert, and I hope you will enjoy our interpretation of this colorful piece!
