DJ Nickel B (email: DJNICKELB@GMAIL.COM) is known around the world for mashing up the turntables with a unique blend of reggae, electronic, and hip hop music featuring original remixes, exclusive tunes, scratching, and "in-key" mixing. Nickel B is a member of the Itation Sound System and cofounded the award winning label Itation Records. As a DJ, he has shared the stage and promoted events for dozens of artists including Sean Paul, the Wu-Tang Clan, Jimmy Cliff, Beenie Man, Barrington Levy, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Buju Banton, Burning Spear. After winning a number of DJ competitions with Itation Sound such as the 2006 and 2007 Boston Forward Sound Clash, recent years have seen Nickel B focusing on performing a unique blend of reggae, dubstep, downtempo, and house/breaks, most recently at his weekly residency at Club Metronome in Burlington with Jahson of Solomonic Sound for BASS CULTURE TUESDAYS.
