During the summer of 1989, Frankie Bones found himself spinning records before a crowd of 25.000 in a field just outside of London, the first american Dj to be touched by the rave scene during the UK´s Summer of Love. Quickly becoming a regular Dj on the UK cicuit, as well as touring throughout Europe, Frankie was determined to break this new found culture to his unsuspecting american audience.
The rave scene eventually did hit America, but first on the West Coast, where Frankie was part of the early 1990 East L.A. Warehouse Break Ins. " I only was booked in L.A. because of my success in the UK" Frankie recalls "Nobody in NY ever thought that we could have a scene, but LA was proof that the East Coast was not far behind". The New York rave scene blossomed one year later, and by early 1992 Frankie´s Stormraves became the largest and most underground techno parties of their kind. Now legendary, Stormraves had 5.000 in attendance by late 1992. Through the New York City based Sonic Groove Rec. retail shop (a partnership between Frankie, Adam X and Heather Heart) Bones has been on a six-year quest supplying techno, trance and underground sounds to
Dj´s across the country. This mix is true Frankie Bones style, his diverse sound which represents his dancefloor in 1996.
cheers!
