A-Style emanates a raw yet funky style that fuses the leftfield, or simply less mainstream, sounds of turntablism with a unique selection of tunes that always please the people.
DJ A-Style is a DMC and ITF finalist and also an in-demand mixtape DJ, both Australia and New Zealand-wide. A-Style’s most notable efforts are on the Scar Non mixtape series, which is has proved to be the most popular/influential promotional mixtape releases in Australia and New Zealand.
DJ A-Style’s reputation has enabled him to tour clubs and venues around Australia and Asia, sharing the stage with the likes of Scribe, Deceptikonz, 1200 Techniques, A-Trak, Mixologists, Naughty By Nature, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Xzibit, Kid Cudi to name a few. A-Style even secured prominent DJ spots at big festivals such as Summadayze, Kiss My Grass and Thank God It’s Over.
Aside from building a reputation on the tour/festival circuit A-Style holds a diverse range of residencies throughout his hometown of Melbourne. A-Style is a familiar face at venues such as Revolver, First Floor, F Four, Croft Institute, Miss Libertine and 3rd Class. A-Style is best known for his individual sets incorporating Breakbeat, Hip Hop, Grime, Baltimore and Dancehall styles, which is the key to his ever-growing loyal fan-base.
As his profile continues to grow, A-Style is fast becoming the next big DJ to come out of Australia, due to his fresh mixing skills, his household name and his impeccable reputation as an incredible artist/DJ. This kid is set to change the game in this country, and the coming years are bound to bring big things for DJ A-Style.
In more recent news, A-Style successfully defeated all competition in August 2007 to become the Victorian DMC Champion and perhaps more importantly was clearly the crowd favourite.
