Inspired by bands like Suffocation, Pyaemia Vader and Dying Fetus, Disavowed was formed in 2000 from the remnants of Nocturnal Silence.

With the goal to write music that is brutal, yet well structured, technical and catchy, three songs were written and recorded soon after Disavowed formed.

The demo CD entitled 'Point Of Few' resulted in good responses from all over the death metal scene and finally lead to a deal being struck with the American label Unique Leader Records, the home of the likes of Deeds Of Flesh and Disgorge.

In 2001 the first full-length album entitled 'Perceptive Deception' was released and supported with a five-week tour of the US & Canada in 2002 and a four-week European tour in 2003.

After a long period of wrist injuries for drummer Robbe V, a temporary replacement was found in Dirk Janssen of Despondency in mid-2005.

After doing numerous regional shows Disavowed headed out to Japan & Hong Kong in April of 2006, experiencing metal in a distant land.

For a summer of festivals playing alongside the likes of Suffocation amongst others, the band recruited new drumm prodigy Romain Goulon to complete their ranks.

Disavowed are currently hard at work preparing to unleash their sophomore album, a monolith of evolved death metal upon which the ravenous hordes gathering eagerly to devour it.

This new album, entitled 'Stagnated Existence' will show an evolved growth and expansion in Disavowed's musicality without compromising brutality and aggression.

Stagnated Existence is out now on Neurotic Records, with the band having toured with Cannibal Corpse amongst others to support the release.
