DESCRIPTION:
Here is the 2nd single from Chicago's Dirty Wurds. The single, which is extremely hard to find nowadays, was released in December, 1966. Credited by the label executives as the Wurds - seems Dirty Wurds was a little too, um, controversial.
By this time, the original lead singer of the group, Mick McAleese, had been fired. With a new front man on lead vocals, the group got into Chess studio's thanks to Justin Pomeroy's dad, The Reverend Ralph Pomeroy. Several tracks were recorded, but were never released.
This recording features: Mark Hannon, lead vocals; Justin Pomeroy, rhythm guitar; Mike Peterson, lead guitar; Jim Savage, bass guitar and Eric Long, drums. The guy wailin' on harp is possibly Allen Miller.
