Ernesto Diaz-Infante: 12-string bajo sexto
Marjorie Sturm: video poem 'Sun Heals Life'

The Neshama Alma Band is a collaboration of San Francisco composer/musician Ernesto Diaz-Infante and filmmaker/video-artist Marjorie Sturm. Their latest work, "The Sun Heals Life," is an experientially-based performance that provokes private reflection in a public space around retribution and war. On a bajo sexto guitar, Diaz-Infante performs subtle, trance, mantra strumming inspired by Native American and other rhythms. The minimalist video accompaniment is intended to aid the audience in a focused state that is conducive to self-insight in which we collectively breed a new visualization to the current dilemma.
