The Reason Soul Is Alive

Clip of Devin at the GIBSON GUITAR LOUNGE in Memphis!!!

Devin is a divine soul man who speaks with the native tongue of blues, jazz, gospel, pop and some hip-hop.

Devin has been a music master since the early age of 6 under the tutelage of his grandmother, Mrs. Bettye Crutcher, who was a marvelous songwriter for the Memphis Stax Label. In the early 60’s to 70’s she wrote hits for Johnny Taylor “Who’s Making Love”, Staple Singers “Respect” and “Smiling Faces”. This was the start of his soulful career. His virtuoso voice is an indispensable and highly sought after session musician.

Devin’s performance, which led him onto a world-stage and opening for some of the biggest names in the industry: Jamie Foxx, Kem, Floetry, Will Downing and many more. His nights singing cover tones served as an introduction for some, but a re-emergence for many fans that have never seen their favorites live.

Devin counts Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye as musical heroes. One listen to him and you will hear Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke and Chick Corea. Your soul will open up and accept Devin as a true master of music. He devotes his time and passion to his first love “Music”. Devin has an all around gift from the look to the voice to the way he captivates a crowd!

Devin’s achievements include working with Sean “Puffy” Combs on MTV's “Making The Band 4”, Russell Simmons “Rap Summit”, Sony “Talent Explosion Competition”, Zulu Ball New Orleans and scores of other events.

He is the reason soul is alive and watch him grace stages around the world and become the new face of our time.
