The Australians is a swing band made up of famous musicians from the Australian music scene, such as composer Dan Barnett and the legendary trumpeter Bob Henderson. The band will be at JazzAscona during the whole ten days and is expected to put on an electrifying show, also thanks to the presence of vocalist Emma Pask, "the greatest gift to Australian Jazz Vocals in the last decade" according to James Morrison, one of Australia's most famous jazzists. Winner of the Mo Award 2006, as Jazz Vocalist of the Year, Emma Pask has performed around the world. Some of her career highlights: performances together with the BBC Concert Orchestra in London, with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in China and shows throughout Italy, Laos, New Zealand, and Singapore.
