Great classics deserve great remixes. Fast Eddie's classic "Yo Yo Get Funky" fits the description. Dating back to the early nineties, the single became a real staple of what was then known as hip-house: a tight combination of hip-hop style lyrics, fast and raw TR-909 beats, an ever so fat TB-303 acid bass-line. DJs across the world copped every DJ International or Underground 12" single they could find from that moment on. A new style was born. Back to 2011 and dutch DJ, Producer and famous host of the internationally acclaimed "Dance Department" radio show Dennis Ruyer delivers a state of the art 2011 Remix. Fast Eddie, who's voice matured like a platinum priced Hennesy XO, re-recorded his raps especially for this project. Time to enjoy the fat sound of today's big synths and powerful beats, all nicely put together in an undeniable party track.

The 2011 Remix features a rougher look at the 2011 Original and is definitely one for the large events and even the big rooms. Some DJs will also be able to create enticing transitions on the turntables by using both versions. One thing is clear for all the party people: "Yo Yo Get Funky"!
