The much-anticipated follow up to his previous albums Black Swamp Road and Red Dust, One Horse Town features tales of remorse and redemption, cocaine and corruption, the plaintive song of a bruised and homesick traveller. With gutsy vocals, banjos and steel guitars, his Australian take on the time-honoured traditions of bluegrass and country rock have helped forge a new sound.

In cahoots with such outfits as The Re-Mains, Glenys Rae Virus and Jeremy Edward's Dust Radio Band, Hanrahan is part of a new wave of Australian country rock and roll, incorporating the fiery originality and protest ethic of Bob Dylan, Steve Earle and Johnny Cash with the independent righteousness of alternative rock.
