DESCRIPTION:
The Black Jaspers is King Khan going full out trash. It's what living in Berlin surrounded by druggies, crustpunks and freaks can do to you. Scum of the Moon sounds like it's recorded on a 1-track in a too crowded bar in Kreuzberg where sweat drips from the ceiling into your beer.

The self titled debut of the Black Jaspers (Jasper Hood of Moorat Fingers is the other person in the band) had been laying around since 2001 before King Khan decided to release it in 2008. Scum of the Moon, however, contains newly recorded material and is a bit more polished than its predecessor. And by a bit more polished I mean that the instruments are more like individual noises instead of one big load of noise. What I do not mean is that the music suddenly got smart, or that there is no room for songs with titles like "Snot Queen", "Death Fetish", or "Just Die Fast Anymore".
