DESCRIPTION:
In the late 1960's John Barry travelled to the Spanish island of Majorca to work on the music for, and to make an appearance in the Michael Caine movie, Deadfall that was being filmed there.
Barry fell in love with the island, bought some land, built a large house and lived there, on and off, for a few years in the early 1970's.
However after working on several film scores in the USA he decided to buy a house in New York and never returned to the house he had built in Majorca.
The Majorcan house is still standing but it has been stripped of all its contents and vandalised. Very sad indeed!
