DESCRIPTION:
"State Of Blues" is a song written, performed and produced by David Zychek for his band's 2001 EP "Behind The 8-Ball." Completing this particular trio is Ronny Griffin on drums and San Davis on bass. The song is accompanied by some of my photos taken of his bands over the years.

Though David has thousands of fans in Central Texas and beyond, having enjoyed his live rock performances for decades, probably very few of them have heard this song, as it was a short independent release with barely a trace of existence found on the internet. I wanted to publish this online because I feel it was his absolute finest recorded work as a writer, performer and producer, and Zychek fans everywhere should have it available to enjoy and appreciate in his memory.

David died in 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer, playing gigs and recording right up to the very end. He and his musical presence are dearly missed by many.
