I thought the Bach cello suite would make a nice dialogue with his subjects--lone structures quietly persisting through time.
Incidentally, I'm playing on a Lawson French horn. It was made by Walter Lawson in 1991, in Boonsboro Maryland--a mile from my parents home, where my father created most of these works.
