My new Epiphone Korina Flying V - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 16, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
I'm taking my new Korina Flying V for a spin in the rehearsal facility. You have to excuse the funny gestures - and the absolutely uncontrolled noodling - but I got carried away a bit by the tones of this thing. Hopefully, you can understand why.

I dropped in Seymour Duncan humbuckers, otherwise the Epiphone Korina V is stock. I chose Seth Lover in the neck, and a Pearly Gates in the bridge. I spent some money on a pro setup, which was a wise choice, since the playability is now very, very good, and everything works like a charm. I might switch to some CTS 500k pots, as the stock pots are a bit noisy when I turn them down.

This guitar was made in the Czech Republic, at the Bohemia Musico-Delica Plant, presumably in 2001 and, contrary to the Korean and Chinese models, it is actually two bookmatched pieces of solid Korina. Very nice wood, very nice find indeed, got it secondhand, in very close to brand-new condition.

I'm using my Laney VC30 amplifier, and pedals in use include a Dunlop JH-F1 fuzzface, Timmy overdrive, RMC6 wah, MXR Carbon copy delay and a Drybell vibe machine.

Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave your comments below.
