A native of Philadelphia, David L. Rivers, Jr., is a six-string bassist, vocalist, percussionist, writer and producer. Heavily influenced by Stanley Clark, Larry Graham, Jaco Pastorius, Quincy Jones,Charles Mingus,Ray Brown,Thelonious Momk, & Miles Davis. David always surprises his listeners with his ability to exhibit an exciting and appealing live performance.

By implementing elements of Funk-Rock, Gospel, R&B, and Jazz into his sound, David elevated his playing above that of most of his contemporaries. David Rivers has had the opportunity to work with several world renowned artist such as the late McFadden & Whitehead, Will Hart, The Delfonics, The Ambassadors, The Blue Notes, Billy Paul, Philly Intruders, Jimmy Eliss -- The Tramps, Frank Bey, The Hawkins, Albertina Walker, and Tamika Pattern just to name a few.

Currently, David has completed his new CD, entitled "The Dave River's Project", this CD demonstrates an eclectic sound that takes a bold step into the future with finesse and soul. David continues to perform in Philadelphia and the surrounding Tri-state areas jazz clubs, concert halls, community events, and churches.
