DG is a trombonist, composer and educator living in NYC. Musically reared in Oklahoma via the University of Central Oklahoma, he later attended the Eastman School of Music. Upon moving to NYC, he began performing with Slide Hampton's World of Trombones and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All Star Big Band. He can be heard as a sideman on the WOT's "Spirit of the Horn", the DGAASBB's "Things to Come" in addition to "The Search" by Wycliffe Gordon and Nancy Wilson's recent Christmas release. He has also released three recordings as a band leader for Nagel Heyer Records. "Maya","The Path to Delphi" and "G Rays" on Nagel Heyer Records reveal his musical personality as a performer and composer. He loves to compose, write, perform, talk, and maybe talk a little too much. Mostly, he is excited about the potential in the world and the role that music can play to offer peaceful respitesor even reminders of things that are more important to our spiritual survival. The trombone is his weapon as a warrior against the parasitic insanity that is after us all. He loves.
