What can I say about the original Loyal that hasn't been said already? It's probably the catchiest song of the year. It's Lamborghini Breezy at his absolute best. It's also a true story about the plight of the broke dude in the clerb. As amazing as the original is, we've all heard it 1000x at this point and I thought it could use a makeover for the end of the summer, and something that would make it more playable for DJs in an electronic set. One of the great things about the original is its minimalism, from the arrangement of the vocals to the subdued beat, and I wanted to change things up entirely for the remix. I flipped the chord progression from minor to major and built a melodic electro pop track with some tropical house influences (no sax tho...) around the vocal and ended up with something that you'll hopefully be pressing repeat on for the rest of the summer.
