About the song: I began writing this song about 4 years ago. The groove, verse and chorus pretty much wrote themselves, but I hit a road block. 2 years later I began working with guitarist and composer Dylan Ryche to sharpen my song writing abilities. Originally, the song was to be titled ""Now or Never"", because I was never really happy with the way(s) the song was arranged. Dylan told me that often times ""art is never finished, only abandoned."" Thus, I had to finish it either ""Now or Never"". The name for the song was changed after somebody pointed out the title similarity with a popular Justin Bieber song. The name ""Cape & Cowl"" was chosen because the song evokes visions (at least for me it does...) of a high speed, action packed pursuit between a hero and evil doer. A caped crusader's battle with the dastardly villain ""Writer's Block"".
