I obtained these recordings off of napster around 1999. I'm not sure what the song titles are and I don't more of them.

It was Darol Anger just as much as it was Michael Rabin and Jerry Goodman that made me really want to play violin. In my last channel (rareviolintreasures), I posed a recording of Darol Anger with William Ackerman so I wanted to put up some more. I highly recommend getting Tideline by Darol Anger, Barbara Higbie, it's some wonderful music.

William Ackerman is a acoustic guitarist that recorded impressionistic modern music with a meditative, relaxing, healing quality that became known as new age. He also founded the Windham Hill label that included such artists as George Winston, Liz Story, Alex de Grassi, Michael Hedges, Michael Manring and many others. Modern music well worth investigating that has been a constant source of inspiration to me for over 30 years.
