PUBLISHED:  Aug 03, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Video slide show of the May 1972 Vietnam War protest in Albuquerque, N.M. by Bernard Durning combined with "KEY TO THE HIGHWAY" by Micheal Edwin Gerard Miera (Mike Dues) on guitar, vocals with THE DARRELL X BAND with Randy Arnold.
Bernard Durning, a freshman @ UNM, is on I-25 in white t-shirt on the front page of the ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL. Also on the front page of the ALBUQUERQUE NEWS putting flowers into the rifles @ YALE PARK. Got teargassed thrice! But my little brother ANDREW JACKSON DURNING had hanged to death in Larchmont, N.Y. in 1971 as I filled out my Draft Papers, so that was my motivation. This is dedicated to FERENC M. SZASZ, my US HISTORY PROFESSOR @ UNM. Painting and ink sketch and video by Bernard Durning dot com.
