Danny Lee Band

I am a singer/songwriter from Molesey, Surrey, which is just south of London in England.
I have a CD "Just Fly" out on the label idigital and a video for my song "Running Down The Road" is on You Tube.
I am currently working on a new CD which should be released in 2011.
The Danny Lee Band formed five years ago with the aim of getting a great bunch of talented musicians to go out and make music and hopefully a little pocket money.
I used to be a circuit squash player but now coach the game as a day job.
The Danny Lee Band is mainly a covers band at present doing weddings, birthday parties and other private functions. The band was recently seen on Wedding TV.I have loads of songs scribbled in books and on old tapes and I am slowly achieving my aim of getting them recorded.
The band are regularly performing the original songs at gigs throughout the South East and went down well at The Edinburgh Festival for the second year in a row. Whilst in Edinburgh I was interviewed on local radio and had several songs played on Scottish stations. In 2010 we performed to over 1000 people at Farnham's Picnic in the Park and to 650 people at the prestigious RGS 500th Anniversary Ball. We also played at The Legends of Squash Ball and at various other prestigious functions. With Chris Forsey and backed by the band, I performed at Hampton Hill Playhouse in a Blues Brothers Tribute which also included having to dress up as Elvis and Amy Winehouse !! The Elvis act was repeated at The Lakeside Summer Ball.
Four years ago I recorded four songs that were produced by Chris Brokis who I met through squash. I am grateful to Chris for encouraging my ideas and for showing faith in the music. "What am I Supposed to Do" was recorded at Chris's Oatlands studio and my CD "Just Fly" was recently remixed and mastered there.
In November 2007 I made a flying visit to Nashville where I cut a CD entitled "Just Fly" which was produced by Scott Neubert. Scott assembled some fantastic musicians(Including himself) at Studio 19. Some of the songs(Running Down The Road, Please Stay and We Can Only Go to Here) are currently posted on this site . Guitarist Bob Williams and I also cut four acoustic tracks one of which ("Flowers in the Rain") you can listen to here.This song closes the CD.
I have met some great people here on MySpace and some very talented musicians. I have had the pleasure of sharing the bill with Tara London, Genevieve Little and Emmett Stang all of whom are class acts. Special thanks to Suzanne Dee Gorman for fixing the American trip.
