Danny Jung was born in Seoul, Korea and at the age of two moved to Los Angeles, California. Later his family moved to Texas where Danny was exposed to different types of music varying from R&B, Funk, to Gospel. The summer before his first year of high school Danny heard this sweet sound of the saxophone and was amazed how it sounded like the human voice. He decided then that playing this instrument was his passion. Shortly after picking up the saxophone and discovering his other half, Danny was invited to perform various hymns at churches around town and it was then when he realized that his playing required a "soulful sound". Danny developed his sound by listening not only to other saxophone legends but emulating other vocalists as well. Danny went to the Univ. of North Texas, infamous for their jazz program to pursue a degree in Business Management(of course all he did was practice his horn!!). During his studies in North Texas, Danny accepted an award that offered a tuition-free education to the Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, he developed his talent and was exposed to many different types of music. After receiving his degree in Music Management from Berklee, Danny wanted to take his music to the next level so he moved back to Los Angeles, CA. where he made his demo with a well-known music producer and Berklee Alumni known for producing many smooth jazz artists. Danny was offered a record deal from Sony Bmg to record and write two albums. His first record "Make a Wish" produced by Sam Purkin and "Fourplay" member Nathan East was released in fall of 2000. The second record "Right On Time" produced by Danny Jung and Brian Simpson and was released in summer of 2004. Danny Jung's music has been ranked in the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts and has been exposed for the listening pleasure of all jazzlovers around the world. In 2005 Danny made is very own label JazzLife with some of his colleagues and produced his first Christmas album in 2006 "The Christmas Story" with producer David Mann. In 2007, Danny decided to take his music to a higher ground and decided to produce an album doing renditions of all his favorite hymns with all his friends in the industry. So his label after recent success from the past Christmas record, released the Danny Jung "All About Hymns" album
