Born in Palermo, Sicily Danny Inzerillo moved to Brooklyn, New York and at age 7 began amazing his singer/songwriter father with his musical abilities. Danny would listen to old Neapolitan songs, famous for their ballads and raw emotion and compose something new. Fast forward to today, that creative 7 year old has moved into the electronic scene and is now opening for such mega acts as Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell Dirty South, Starkillers and Serge Devant who he
also co-wrote on most of his hit album "Wanderer" including the worldwide smash “Addicted”. The likes of Tiesto and Markus Shulz can be heard playing his music and his new track, which he produced and cowrote with hot up and coming vocalist Hadley, "Reach for Me”, will be available this summer. For those lucky enough to be exposed to Danny’s music, one will find the fresh combination of hard hitting progressive tracks infused with heartfelt messages of love, ambition and unity.
Danny’s passion for this infusion began when he first heard house music in the form of Armand Van Helden’s classic “Witch Doktor” on a friends mix tape. At the time, he was
singing at local Italian festivals and on the local Italian radio station in New York City. From that point on, Danny was intent on bridging the sentimental musical world of his childhood with the newfound energy of house music. His search for that sound began in 1997 and led him to many of the top NYC nightclubs including the famed Twilo, Palladium, Vinyl, Sound Factory and the Tunnel. Here is where he met what would later be his long time collaborator, Serge Devant.
After graduating from the Institute of Audio Research in 2004, Danny created the vocals for one of Serge’s early singles “Always Have Tomorrow” which was released in the summer of 2005. The single was catapulted to the forefront of the scene and supported by 1 DJ in the world at the time, Paul Oakenfold. That same year the Insight EP was released on Lost Language which included “Fall on Me” and “1000 Miles”. Further collaboration continued with “Surround U” in 2006, “Part of Me” in 2007 and “Peace” in 2008 which was used for Coca Cola’s W8 campaign for the Beijing Olympic Games.
During this time, Danny had been busy DJing in NYC hot spots such as Le Souk, Webster Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom, Pink Elephant, Sullivan room and the acclaimed Cielo. He’s regularly included in the same line-up with the likes of Steve Lawler and Victor Calderone and his NYC recognition has spread to other cities in the US including Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles and Miami where he opened for Dirty South. Danny is also no stranger to the international DJ scene, playing for crowds in countries such as Santo Domingo and Italy.
Today, pick up Serge Devant’s album “Wanderer” and you will hear lyrics co-written by Danny in the songs “Midnight Train”, “People”, “Wanderer” and “Addicted” which has hit 1 on the charts worldwide including in Russia and Greece. His production debut “Reach for Me” with Hadley is sure to be no different.
Part of the appeal is that Danny brings universal themes to all of his songs. “People”, “Peace” and “Midnight Train” are perfect examples of how Danny is elevating and advancing the genre by bringing substance and meaning into the music. Here you find tales of overcoming odds, acceptance and optimism, all the while, Danny making sure that no matter what the tale, you always…find yourself dancing!
