A young prodigy of French soul-funk-blues, singer and guitarist Nina Attal, 20 years old, has already won the affection and admiration of fans in France, Europe, and even Canada. She has performed on prestigious stages, among others at the Montreal Jazz & Blues festival in 2012 (in front of 75.000 spectators) and at the New Morninig in Paris. Inspired by B.B. King and Jamiroquai, Nina Attal presents a repertoire with strong influences of African-American music. Her first album, Yellow 6l17, released last fall, is a masterpiece in which soul, funk, rhythm & blues, and pop blend creating an enticing mix of sounds that seems to reflect the New Orleans melting pot. After rocking the stage of JazzAscona 2012, Nina will be back in this edition with her band plus a brass section! Don't miss it!
