DAME SKOOL formed in 2003 when four musicians from different musical backgrounds decided to put their ideas in common to craft their own sound.

With the success of first live performances, the band went into studio to record a first demo CD in August of 2003. A recording of which one of the titles was selected to air on the French national radio station, Le Mouv' - the band started to gain recognition in the local scene.

In 2004 DAME SKOOL took things a step further with the recording of a first full-length album named "KAMELIA’S ALIENATING ORCHESTRAL HYMN" (K.A.O.H.). A project telling the story of Shun and Aya, a young couple torn apart by mental illness. When the album hit the stores in 2005, the press showed an encouraging welcoming. Many articles were published in specialized magazines such as METALLIAN, ROCK HARD, ROCK SOUND, ROCK ONE or ROCK MAG, who labeled Dame Skool "indie band of the month" in it’s November 2005 issue. Tracks from K.A.O.H. were aired on many local and Internet radios.

Encouraged by the enthusiasm of the press, radios and audience the band started composing a new concept album in 2006, this time taking form of a rock opera in four chapters.

DAME SKOOL completed their second full-length recording AKAI SORA by the end of 2008 and is now in search of a label to support to their new album.
