Bill Shore moved to Tennessee, from Texas, to write songs. Blessed to be mentored by friend and co-writer Doodle Owens, his first songs recorded were by music legends such as Billy Walker, Claude King, Mel Street and David Houston. Those early recordings inspired and motivated a young writer to work harder and his first top 20 record came from the great Tammy Wynette, "You Still Get To Me In My Dreams". Through the ups and downs of the business he received encouragement from great artists and writers such as Johnny Russell, Conway Twitty, and Merle Haggard to, "hang in there". That encouragement paid off in Number One Songs by, Charley Pride, "Every Heart Should Have One", George Strait, "I'd Like To Have That One Back", and Sawyer Brown, "Trouble On The Line", mulitple RIAA Gold, Platinum and Multiplatinum Awards, Top Tens by Garth Brooks, "Wild Horses", as well as Marie Bottrell in Canada and over two hundred songs recorded by artists such as George Jones, Porter Wagoner, Chris LeDoux, Vern Gosdin, Moe Bandy to name a few. Bill has received multiple BMI Million Performance Achievement Citations and BMI awards. As President of Pride Music Group, Bill helped launch the careers of Paul and Gene Nelson, Aaron Barker, and later as Creative Director for Club Zoo Music brought Scotty Emerick to Mark Miller and helped launch his great career. Bill has also produced and co-produced many acts thru the years including Neal McCoy, Aaron Barker, Marie Bottrell for RCA Canada and the great Charley Pride in 2007 with Brian White and David Wills. Bill continues to write with many great new talents and old compadres in Nashville and around the world.
