Jason Salzer is a singer/songwriter that still believes it's all about taking chances and standing up for what you believe. Growing up in a small Tennessee town, Jason found that his escape was in writing songs. He started playing the guitar at the age of 10, and has never stopped getting a thrill when people respond.

It was while attending college in Bowling Green, Ky. that a realization occurred. "I found out really quick that people love hearing bands, and I love playing in them. That is the most important thing I learned in my six years of college." Once Jason moved to Nashville, he quickly formed a group that consistently toured and made quite a name throughout the southeast. Sharing the stage with the likes of Steve Earle, Blues Traveler and Better Than Ezra, Jason found that life on the road was like a box of chocolates. They are really good at first, but you can easily make yourself sick if you eat too much!

Jason has spent the last few years playing with different projects, trying to capture a sound that haunts him like a ghost. Most notably, it was with Levi Rose that Jason really started to get back to his roots. Jason took his country songs to the stage, which he shared with artists like Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town. "Writing and singing country songs is a passion. The simplicity is deceptive and the difficulty is not getting boxed in. You can't box in passion."

Jason finds himself now writing songs and performing with a rotating cast of great musicians. Whether it is with nothing more than a guitar, or a smoking hot band, Salzer will always leave it out on the stage. Jason is always looking forward to the next challenge, whether it finds him, or he finds it. He really likes to play basketball too!!
