Cryptic Abuse

The story of Cryptic Abuse begins around the time of Halloween 2005. Started by Matt as a one-manned gore-grind project. One song, Fecalphiliac Slut, was recorded on a analog four track with a drum machine. Then, a subsequent demo was recorded, entitled "Gorrified". This 5 Song demo of goregrind was under 10 minutes long and featured drum programming by Jeff Mhaghnuis of Harvist/Typus/Pthail.
Over the next three years C.A. fell in and out of activity, essentially becoming a side-project due to Matt's involvement in other bands. During this time, several line-ups and sub-genres of death metal were explored. Only one cd was released during that time - "Relentless Dismemberment", which F.Y.I. features some of the worst drum programming in one-man death metal history.
In 2008 there was finally a breakthrough (or at least what seemed like one). Cryptic Abuse had settled on a three-piece line-up that featured a bassist (Cory Waugh of NOVA PROSPECT) and for the first time ever, an actual drummer (Lee Bowen of I AM JEDI, EX-EMBLUDGEONED). The trio recorded a four song EP at Sacred Sound Studios entitled "Smut Jungle". Shows were planned but never played as other projects got in the way again.
After "Smut Jungle" Cryptic Abuse again fell into total inactivity until late 2009 when new songs were beginning to be conceptualized and demoed. But, again, due to other projects and bands, C.A. was put on the back burner and it was decided that someday it would just come together and it would be time for the unleashing of this beast we call Cryptic Abusewe are finally at this time2012.(more coming soon)
