Crown the Lost

Almost three years removed from their debut album Reverence Dies Within, Pittsburgh melodic thrash metallers Crown the Lost return with their second full-length, Blind Faith Loyalty via Italy-based indie Cruz del Sur Music. The culmination of over a years worth of intense songwriting, band turnover and turmoil, and unbridled creativity, Blind Faith Loyalty sees Crown the Lost expand upon its melodic thrash metal template, adding new, exotic layers of extremity, grace, and technicality.



Recorded from January to June of 2008 with producer/engineer Dave Watson, Blind Faith Loyalty captures Crown the Lost at its most inspired and expansive. The album's 10 songs traverse down paths ranging from fierce, aggressive numbers ("Defame the Hypocrites," "Drawing the Parallel") to catchy, song-oriented tunes ("Bound to Wrath," "Impose Your Will") all the way to towering, multi-faceted thrash metal workouts ("Finality," "Symbiotic").



Blind Faith Loyalty showcases Crown the Lost's ability to create striking, memorable songs in the confines of sometimes technical and extreme thrash metal. When combined with classic metal singing, the band's songs take on a whole new form, one that dismisses any preconceived notion of metal's stagnation.



Lauded as "musically accomplished and eminently memorable" and "one of thrash metal's outstanding new groups," Crown the Lost since its April 2005 formation by rhythm gutiarist David E. Gehlke, have developed a strong critical and commercial following on both sides of the pond, one the band hopes to build upon in 2010 and beyond.
