Let's get funky with Double Thumb Bass Groove #3! We're chillin in the key of G minor (dorian) with a couple common chromaticisms.
This bass riff is a good opportunity to practice switching between your normal bass slap and your double thumb technique, since it uses both. The normal slap is a bouncing rotation, the double thumb is more like an up/down pick stroke. Or as I coined in the video, "doorknob slap" versus "handshake slap"!
To get the most out of learning this double thumb bass groove, try adding your own fills, or change a note or two of the bass line to explore some variations. This will get you a lot more mileage out of the licks you learn and put you in a creative mindset (rather than only mimicking).
