DESCRIPTION:
Pinball sessions presents: CR Avery and The Weber Brothers, featuring PruFrock. This performance was filmed and recorded LIVE in the studio.
In the summer of 2013 at a festival far far away in N. Western Ontario that had a slot to fill, a brilliant artistic director asked C.R. Avery and The Weber Brothers (who had both performed their own sets) if they could come up with something completely different and perform it for their audiences. And magically in 2 hours the 6 were able to do something a lot like this pinball session. Following that one fateful performance, they enlisted DJ Prufrock and took the show on the road – for 5 limited and magical engagements. Luckily for us, and you; one of those shows was in Guelph and The Weber Brothers, C.R. Avery and Prufrock came into the studio and recorded these tracks. The show was mesmerizing, comparable to a stadium show in a 150 cap venue. One of those evenings that everyone in attendance is still talking about!

Combining live rock n roll from “the baddest band in the land” The Weber Brothers, with C.R. Avery’s abundantly energetic beatbox, poetic fully encompassing performances and DJ Prufrock’s flourishes of scratch we bring you, with some delight, this exclusive recording.

A little about The Weber Brothers and C.R. Avery and Prufrock seems in order. About The Weber Brothers, Ronnie Hawkins said, “If I had The Weber Brothers with me in 1952, Elvis would have been my roadie”. High praise indeed and alas Sam and Ryan Weber are Ronnie Hawkins current backing band. Altogether, The Weber Brothers are a 5 piece band comprised of 2 sets of brothers, Webers and Browns + Cookie.

C.R. Avery is a lot of things including a harmonica player of whom Charlie Musselwhite said, ” No one plays harmonica like him”, C.R. is a beatbox street poet of whom Tom Waits said is, “…blowing my mind”, C.R. Avery is a profuse, versatile and highly energetic performer – to some extent he evades description in that his shows are a full experience.

Prufrock is a Hip Hop artists, DJ and slam poet from Ottawa, Ontario. Together C.R. Avery, The Weber Brothers and Prufrock made these sounds in the studio.
