CRACKHOUSE is the kind of band that the rock press has wet dreams about: creatively brilliant, completely out-of-control, and utterly doomed from day one. Led by Royce, guitars and backing vocals and Kelly, vocals, the group's turbulent underground “career “ lived up to the highest (or lowest, as it were) expectations, with all the ups and downs of a roller-coaster ride, which, after numerous frightening twists and turns, finally derailed in spectacular fashion. But not before yielding a wealth of inspired hard rock.
Vocalist Kelly was coming off a brief stint with a loser band and he met the long haired platinum blonde bad ass motherfucker guitar god Royce. They decided to start up a brand new band. It was the year 1995. After borrowing drummer Neno and recruiting bassist Crobo, the group became an instant sensation in the North East Italy’s clubs. Their ultra-heavy hard rock quickly ignited the Italian underground press and, gig after gig after gig, they get the money to record the 5 tks demo PLEASURE TOY.
Besides wetting their feet in the recording studio CRACKHOUSE continued to tour incessantly throughout 1996, logging an especially memorable trek with on-the-rise glam-punk rockers HOLLYWOOD TEASZE. Come the new year, the guys record another CD titled TITTY TWISTER. New record received little promotional support in Italy and in some European countries, criss-crossing the nation with other bands like THE KEVIN K BAND from N.Y. City, the Australian punk rockers HARD-ONS, Switzerland’s GUTTER QUEENS and national acts like EXTREMA, PITURA FRESKA, STORMLORD, THEE S.T.P.
KELLY and ROYCE soon began butting heads with the other band’s members. Neno was the first casualty, replaced in by 19 years old drummer TOMMY C., and then was the Crobo’s turn to be kicked out. The guys found J.ACTION who promptly joined the band on tour. CRACKHOUSE set new standards for rude behavior and substance abuse, but rarely failed to impress with their over-the-top stage antics and impossible-to-contain intensity.
Chaos and controversy continued to dog CRACKHOUSE’s every step in the ensuing months Miraculously, in spite of all the madness which had reigned during its creation , the aptly named THE DAMAGE CD was arguably CRACKHOUSE's finest hour, finding great favor with fans and critics alike.
The guys starts again their debauchery on the road, with the new bass player, FIX, headlining clubs or opening for bands like HANOI ROCKS, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK, GILBY CLARKE (Guns’n’Roses), GEMINI FIVE, VAIN, TIGERTAILZ, VAINS OF JENNA and many many others
In March 2007 the band have just finished the recording of "HELL MOTEL", the full lenght album.
It contains 10 track of pure crackhouse stile rock'n'roll!
