CountryNY is not a band. It's a community with a heavy emphasis on: Traditional Country Bluegrass Americana Roots Southern Rock Rockabilly Country Rock Folk Rock Native American Acoustic Folk & Blues. Musical lines are constantly being blurred. Many of these are just labels that musicians have been forced to use to describe the music they perform. Ultimately there are only two types of Music - good and bad - we'll do our best to try and stay away from the bad. We envision giving Indie and unsigned artists an equal opportunity to shine. If you make good music and you've got something to say, CountryNY is here to listen and to get the word out. Established Artists and Classic singers and writers will of course also be part of the mix. CountryNY.com is based out of New York, thought by some not to be a major hot bed of Roots Music, but we are out to prove them wrong.
