DESCRIPTION:
The Six-Day War lasted from 5 June to 10 June 1967. War opponents were Israel and the neighboring states of Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Israel took effective control of the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.
