2 DVD+1 AUDIO CD. Created by a team of intrepid image and sound hunters, keen on futuristic
mobile video systems, this triple DVD/CD is the colourful and live witnessing of the epic
Jarring Effects adventure during 2003, a key year to be remembered, an achievement of ten
years of associative activism. Jarring Effects the label, with its major locomotives High
Tone and Ez3kiel, at the head of an army of bands and artists ready to fight on any level
for "free electro" and united today in the same energy and on the same support (interviews,
concerts extracts, videos...). A documentary movie also meant to present the singular state
of mind of the whole dub scene in France, marked "DIY", based on active solidarity and
pumped up to give the best live performances, on stage where it has always been at the top
of its abilities! Jarring Effects the association, barometer of a certain dynamic for
citizenship in Lyon human adventure, alternative without a doubt, definitely
uncompromising, at the crossroads of festivals! And which, from Mostar (Bosnia) to the
Vieilles Charrues, seems to remind us that something different is always possible (Play It
Loud !). Two DVD's (200 mn) of cascading interactions, between the pictures and the sounds !
but also between people from here and from everywhere else... totally "la fête des yeux
entre les oreilles". The 1st DVD (140 mn) includes a presentation of the Jarring Effects
team (26 mn), a documentary on the French dub scene (Improvisators Dub, Zenzile, Burning
Heads, Lab°, Brain Damage 26 mn), coverage of all the label's artists (8 mn in average) and
extras. The second DVD is the live compilation in 5.1 multi-channel (+ 1 hour) of the
birthday evening of the label at the Transbordeur (09/05/2003), audio only with original
video illustrations for each track (+ bonus). As for the CD, it is a present on the house
(!) : re-release of the JFX Party 1 compilation (9 track promo compil from 1999) regrouping
some promising young talents such as Meï Teï Shô, Ez3kiel, High Tone or Le Peuple de
l'Herbe... Audio Active, Reactive Video !
