Radiation in the Pacific Ocean - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 13, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
On March 12, 2011, an earthquake triggered a tsunami that struck 700 miles of coastline and caused a disaster at the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan. 3 nuclear reactors melted down and released radiation. Over the next 3 month after the earthquake that triggered a tsunami, radioactive chemicals leaked into the pacific ocean everyday. It will continue to leak indefinitely because the source of the leak cannot be sealed as it is inaccessible to humans and robots due to extremely high temperatures.

This could easily be the worst environmental disaster that has happened in world history, however, media and/or government, hardly ever speak on this subject. Who knows how much it is still leaking?! Fukushima nuclear radiation has now contaminated the entire pacific ocean. The worlds largest ocean! Even if we can’t see the radiation itself, some parts of North American Western Coast have been feeling the effects for years. Not long after Fukushima, fish in Canada began bleeding from gills, mouths and eyeballs and have been decimating fish populations. Breed of fish are turning up mutated and further south and Oregon, star fish started losing legs and then disintegrating entirely when Fukushima radiation arrived there in 2013. It is a weird phenomenon in the Pacific Ocean now. Many mutations, death and disease live in our oceans. In western Canada, independent scientist have measured a 300% increase in the level of radiation. According to them the amount of radiation is increasing every year.

Now our sea life is dying at record amounts putting the whole oceanic ecosystem in that area at risk. However, government officials say Fukushima is not the cause even though radiation in Oregon tripled after Fukushima. In 2014, radiation on California beaches increased by 500%. In response Gov’t’ officials said the radiation was coming from a mysterious unknown source and was nothing to worry about.

Scientist are saying the Pacific Ocean is already radioactive and currently has at least 5-10x more radiation than when America dropped bombs in the pacific during and after World War II.

This devastation is reminiscent to apocalyptic tales of our earth in complete devastation.
These kinds of tragedy’s make me see how there are more important things to focus on than the trivial things of the earth. I know that as a creative person, I can help educate and be a part of the process of saving instead of destroying. Whether it is to late for us is unknown. However, we should always keep the faith and walk upright with dignity and purpose. I have a humanitarian spirit and I pray that the universe will continually guide me to help serve our environment for the greater good!

Peace, love and light to all of my brothers&sisters on planet Earth!!!
