PUBLISHED:  Oct 07, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Written in 1989 to a woman I was wild about, but could not in good conscience pursue because I was a still-undivorced, separated person. By the time my divorce was final, she was happily married; and I was wild about another woman who had been patient with me as I worked my way through the guilt of what my life would be like living as a divorced Catholic.
That issue in turn was very much a part of me until the Lord God opened my eyes to His truth via a book written by Pastor Nelson C. Turner "GOD'S DIVORCE".
Anyway this is an unrequited-love song and just as well because "...all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

In case it's still not obvious I guess I ought to say
That I've got a real bad case of you today
You're the woman I'm wild about who works across the street
The woman that I dream about; the one I want to meet

And I want you, I want you, I want you
I want you to want me to
I want you

I keep looking for a sign to let me know you could be mine
Although I haven't seen one yet, I still have hopes quite passionate
To hold you close body and soul is what I need to be made whole
Of course you might not ever care
and then these feelings go nowhere

I don't want to be like all the guys that hit on you
I want to be in your heart and be special to you
Thought I don't know if you and I will ever be
It's what I hope for, it's my fantasy.

And I want you, I want you,
I want you to want me too
I want you

I I keep looking for a sign to let me know you could be mine
Although I haven't seen one yet, I still have hopes quite passionate
I'd love to bring you close to me and uncover the mystery
Of course you might not ever care
And then these feelings go nowhere

I want you.... (etc.)
