Artist Biography: The 5 piece was formed in Barrow-in-Furness in 2012, and it began with quite heavy roots, early sets comprising Killswitch Engage covers and the like, however with multiple changes in line up, they finally settled on a sound bridging the gap between the heavier hardcore of the West Cumbrian metal scene and the steady stream of singer songwriters and cover bands doing the rounds.

The alt-rock/pop-punk influences have been what have taken A Year Gone By from strength to strength in mid/late 2013 to early 2014, with a Battle of the Bands victory and show to 2000 people at Kidfest in Summer, their first ventures outside of the Cumbrian confines in Autumn 2013, and their self titled debut EP (recorded at White Bear Studios) and first music video dropping in March 2014, there is a lot more yet to be seen and heard.

Currently in the middle of booking summer Tours & Weekenders.

Currently writing our first album after the release of our Debut EP and video.
