Whahay (Paul Rogers, Robin Fincker, Fabien Duscombs) play the music of Charles Mingus - Work Song - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 01, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Whahay is a jazz/improv trio of Paul Rogers (7 string bass), Robin Fincker (tenor sax and clarinet) and Fabien Duscombs (drums). They improvise around the tunes of Charles Mingus.

The piece here, recorded at the DOM Cultural Centre in Moscow on 18 November 2015, Russia, has two sides to it; one is a solo improv by Rogers, loosely based on his 'Peace and Happiness' theme, and the other is the trio's rendition of Mingus's 'Work Song'.
