COLLARBONE: PRETTY DIRTY

Release date 28.04.2010

Collarbone from Helsinki, Finland invites everyone to the party with their sophomore album "Pretty Dirty". The album is filled to the core with down-tuned riffing, banging drums and balanced songwriting. It's definitely rock music, catchy as hell, with alternative and pop music flavours. The band cleverly utilizes grand pianos, ice-hockeyish Hammond organs and eerie synths as an extra seasoning to their original sound. It’s also pretty nice'n dirty, that the band look sincerely like themselves: rowdy, unpolished and so darn sexy.

The first-class vocal performances by Collarbone’s lead singer Thomas Kirjonen will permanently inhabit your ears from very first listening. Kirjonen is a young and enlightened virtuoso – and a well known hamburger-enthusiast.

“I’m gonna love You like a five-pound burger”, he points out on “The Machine”, the first single taken from the album. If one dwells deeper into the album lyrics, they will open up in a completely profound way.

Collarbone was grounded in the year 2000. The band released their first ep “Devil in Miss Verril” back in 2004 and the first full-length album “The Back of Beyond” in 2007. For once, it is justified to say that the band has built its fan base with hard work and relentless touring. The album got rave reviews in the international music press.

Pretty Dirty will be released worldwide digitally in April, 2010. The album sounds serious, cheerful, melancholic, funny and inspired at the same time. It doesn’t sound like anything else than Collarbone.
