Thanks for checking out my MySpace page. My debut album "Lost and Anonymous" is finally ready and I'm looking forward to hearing all your thoughts! Thanks for all the support. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

I guess most people have a story on their Myspace, so instead of a typical bio, I thought I'd just tell you a bit about me.

I'm a native of San Diego, and my love of music evolved into learning to play the bagpipes when I was twelve years old. By fifteen, I was touring Europe and competing internationally, which lead to an invitation to play shows with the band KORN. I got a glimpse of the rock lifestyle while meeting and hanging out with Billy Idol, Eric Burdon of the Animals and Robbie Krieger of the Doors. Needless to say, it rocked.

As you can imagine though, it is pretty hard to make a living playing bagpipes. I knew I had to learn to sing and play the guitar. I taught myself with a little help from my friends.

My first break came when I won the "BE A STAR" contest on Los Angeles’ rock radio station STAR 98.7. Winning landed me a demo deal with Hollywood Records and even though I was excited to get a development deal, I just wasn’t ready as an artist to have a major record deal.

So I continued to write and record songs. Many of them are what you hear on “Lost and Anonymous.” My song "Lonely Fall" won “Best Male Vocal” and “Best Song” at the San Diego Music Awards followed by a “Best Pop Vocal” nomination for “Hey Yoko” at the Los Angeles Music Awards. My song “In Your Eyes" was also chosen for the top ten finals of the 2007 American Idol songwriter contest. Early 2008 brought me a worldwide publishing agreement with NorthStar Media who placed one of my songs,” Nothing More to Say,” on the hit Lifetime network show “Army Wives.” Hopefully there will be more of these TV show type things to come!

I couldn’t have done this alone. I have a great team.

We've been busy in the second half of 2008 finishing up my record, forming a band and getting ready to hit the road in support of my January 2009 release of my full length debut album, “Lost and Anonymous.” Produced and mixed by Mikal Reid (Mick Jagger, Ben Harper, Aerosmith, Wang Chung), I have also collaborated with several A-List songwriters along the way who were all great to work with

Now, I am plugging away, working as hard as I can to

support the release of this record that will come out in January. Please support indie music and check it out on iTunes. I’d also love to see you at a show sometime soon. Don’t be shy, come up and say hello. Music fans mean the world to me and are the only reason a guy like me can continue chasing the dream. Also, stop by and say hello at colinarmstrongmusic.com!
