DESCRIPTION:
Clone of the shins crazy priced dumbloid pedal. Mines all hand made no pcb like the real one. I don't own a 50000$ dumble to side by side it but I can't lie it sounds great. The circuit looks a lot like a tube screamer, so I was very surprised when I built it and it sounds like a totally different animal. It is so open sounding. It lets the guitars voice shine through. It doesn't just mash the tone like a ts-808. It has a wide range of tones like a preamp. It an go from sparkle clean boost to light dirt onto distortions to the edge of fizzle fuzz. The Jazz Rock switch allows you to have a bit darker sound for a smooth clean to dark distortion for creamy leads. I nodded it to have a clipping section. It really opens up the possibilities of the pedal. I made the center the stock open mode. Up is germanium for a warm more tubeish sound it helps get a great full distortion when you crank the volume up. The down position is bat style clippers it has a bit higher register harmonics and allows for yet another range of sexy tones. I also nice the jacks to be top mounted. Pedal has light scratches on the clear coat. I tried to get them In the pics you have to hold it at a angle to see them so it is still a great looking pedal. Metal film 1% resistors, Amber bright LED, true bypass, heavy duty open style jacks, battery option. 9-18vdc, 1590bb enclosure, dumble style top hat knobs, poly film caps, sockted ic's for easy tone changing. Brown burr in it now.
