Offering Recordings is proud to Offer you this amazing Gem produced by the Amazing Dominican Republic Based Ezel.

Offering Recordings Presents: "His Presence" Ezel (ex Babyfunk) delivers a solid deep afro-rhythmed dancefloor heater in his first Offering Recordings release. Lead by a percussively melodic main version with full vocal by Fredy Massamba (Warriors of Africa) directly in front of the mix, Ezel's deeper dub pulls the vocal back for a sparse arrangement with minimal instrumentation. Driven by heavy african percussion, both mixes are attracting attention from all sides and tastes in global soul--from deep & ancestral to driving & techy, "His Presence" is a proper bridge between traditional african and modern dance music.

Ezel's Biography:

Originally from the DR, Ezel allows the spirits of nature guide him in the pursuit of his own destiny. His musical journey began by joining the funk and disco band "Santo Domingo Funk Crew", allowing him the opportunity to discover the eclectic sonorities of Soul, Disco, House and R&B. Later remixing music for many of latin music's hottest major acts (Multi-Platinum "Calle 13", "R.K.M", "Ken -y-", among others), the purely commercial viewpoint of music wasn't enough to satisfy his passion. By experiencing the work of Yoruba Records and many other sources, it was clear to him that the immediate purpose of his musical journey was not to make commercial music, but instead music that transcends consciousness.

Ezel's first underground work was unveiled first in the form of "The Hustle" on Franck Roger's imprint Earthrumental, and then the "Afrika 2 Detroit EP" for City Deep Music. Both efforts cataloged as solid releases, the songs charted in top10's by Dj Gregory, Franck Roger & the 5 beats, Jay Tripwire and Dj Kellilicious, among others. However, after a conversation with Osunlade, Ezel decided to return to zero and follow the guidance of the Yoruba Priest. In only a short time he was given the chance to remix "Afrika" by Gabriele Poso, resulting in an afro-cuban remix showing the unique flavors of his caribbean roots that reminisce the work of such praised latin combos as "Fania All-Stars" and "Buena Vista Social Club".

Future Plans include a debut Album on Yoruba Records, with inspiring collaborations with fellow label mate Boddhi Satva.
